WE LIFT THEM UP TO THE LORD
Prayer can be deeply moving, where one falls to their knees, cries out to God and pours out their heart to Him. Or it can be as simple as a small request, or thank you. But ultimately, prayer is simply talking to God. Getting to know Him, building a relationship with Him, spending time with Him. Prayer on behalf of someone else is very important to God. It is the way He made us in relation to others. It is how He exists, not for Himself, but for others. And that is how we should be – giving and loving of others. Asking for their needs, praising Him on their behalf.
And there are also plenty of reasons to praise God – for His mercy and compassion, for everything He has done in our lives or in the life of another, for His grace and forgiveness, or just because He is who He is and His unfailing love for us.
The list below are those whom we continue to pray for. If you have a prayer or praise request, please email us and we will try to get your request in the Pastoral Prayer on Sundays as well as posted on this website. Your request can be as simple as a name, or with as much detail as you would like to share.
Remember, prayers are not always answered the way we think they should be, or in the timeframe we think, because God knows best and has a larger plan than we can comprehend. But He does listen.
